Dear Students,
We would like to thank you for participating in this questionnaire. It will take you approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
Charles University cares deeply about providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environment for everyone. The aim of this research is to find out how you perceive your academic environment – whether you feel comfortable in it, what obstacles or negative phenomena you may encounter, who initiates them, and how often. We want to better understand what may be making your studies unnecessarily difficult and to find ways to overcome these barriers.
The research and data processing is provided by an external research team from the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (SOÚ AV ČR v. v. i.). The primary data will be stored and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will only be accessible to this external team and to the relevant staff member of the Department of Analysis and Strategies at CU who provides technical support for the questionnaire.
Your participation in this questionnaire is optional, and your answers will remain completely anonymous. The results of the questionnaire will be presented only in aggregate form – that is, as averages, percentages, or the number of responses, which will not identify individuals.
The findings of the questionnaire will be used exclusively for the needs of Charles University, especially in the context of creating and implementing systemic measures designed to strengthen social security and for research purposes.
We believe that initiating a discussion on these issues is the first step towards change. We know that many incidents go unreported – for example, out of fear, mistrust, or the feeling that it would not make a difference. We want to reassure you that we genuinely care about this issue and appreciate every response you provide.
Thank you for your time, trust, and commitment to change things for the better.
